Mokume Gane
Mokume Gane is Japanese for "wood eye metal". In the 17th century, Denebei Shoami, a master metalsmith used this rare metal lamination process for the adornment of samurai swords. Today, James Binnion employs the same demanding technique of bonding gold, platinum, and silver alloys into beautiful patterns for rings and jewelry.
